The Vatican Museums are located where you will observe the Sistine Chapel, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. In addition, the Vatican Museums houses many priceless works of art comprehending the "Raphael Rooms", and several galleries of sculpture, tapestries and frescos. Address: Viale Vaticano (runs along the right-hand side of the Vatican City Wall if you are facing St. Peter's Basilica).

Opening hours:

Mon - Sat 8:45 am - 3:30 pm (last entry).

Note: Closed Sundays; except the last Sunday of each month when the museums are open from 8:45 am - 12:30 pm and admission is free.

No reservation required.

Admission fee:

€ 12 per person (adults); € 8 for children. Wheelchairs can be reserved in advance. Audio guides are available for € 5.50. A Vatican tour guide can be reserved in advance for an additional € 80 for a two-hour tour.
